What led to the shooting couldn’t be established but sources said a male student was killed by some unidentified cultists for reasons yet to be known.
Someone pointed at the student and the unidentified cultist shut at him and fled, a source said.
Although, there are military presences in the institution, it was learnt they were taken unaware of the incident.
Our source said: “It was like the student was penciled down to be dealt with because they came unnoticed and shut him point black.
It was the gun shut that drawn people’s attention that something was amiss”.
“But as soon as they shut him, they fled through a private secondary school that shared a common boundary with the institution because there are no military men there”.
“Moreso, they were with pistols so no one could go after them”.
It was gathered that the suspect who brandish pistol fled through an axis point at the back of the institution close to the Demonstration Secondary School in the area.
The corpse of the student remains in the scene in the school premises for hours before authority came for it.
